AB Staffing is looking for experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
• Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting special education
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays (preferred)
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed and digital materials, hear and understand speech, and communicate clearly
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom type will vary based on location. Recruitment Specialists will discuss details upon application to match you with the best position for your skills and experience. The contract runs through the 2025/2026 school year, with a 37.5 to 40-hour workweek aligned with the academic calendar.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to student needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on strategies to support learning
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and instructional techniques for diverse learners
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Ensure compliance with special education regulations and complete documentation
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with educators and specialists

Salary:

$1,875.00 – $2,212.00 per week, DOE
