Salary range:
The salary range for this position is Assistant $383,080-$502, 171, Associate Professor $445,794-$576,313, and Full Professor $481,114-$643,710. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Salary and level of appointment will be based on experience and qualifications.

The Department of Surgery, Division of Burn Surgery, at the University of California, Davis seeks to recruit a full-time, academic burn surgeon focusing on burn care. The Division of Burn Surgery at the UC Davis Medical Center is a nationally recognized and verified program that offers singular care for adult patients with burn injuries. We provide comprehensive services for the critical care, medical, surgical, and reconstructive treatment of patients with burn injuries and burn related diseases.
The Division of Burn Surgery educates trainees as part of its integrated burn residency and fellowship programs.
The candidate should have a strong interest and expertise in burn and burn reconstructive surgery, burn rehabilitation, critical care, acute wound coverage, nutrition and metabolic management, and scar management. The candidate ideally will have demonstrated clinical teaching and basic science or clinical research skills, with potential to write grants and build strong local and international community relationships. The selected individual will be expected to participate in clinical care, program development, teaching, research, and university service depending on academic series.
Dependent on the chosen academic series, the individual will be expected to develop a research focus in burns or burn reconstructive surgery, or an equivalent academic endeavor.
Expectations of the Clinical X and In-Residence series are to engage in teaching, research, service, and clinical work. Expectations of the Health Science Clinical Professor series are to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support the department's research mission.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- Qualified candidates must have an M.D. degree
- Be board certified or board eligible in general surgery or plastic surgery, and critical care
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
- Must acquire a CA Medical License before the appointment start date
- Have completed/or completing a burn surgery fellowship program
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
