About
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of architecture projects throughout Northern California. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of public works, commercial, or civic buildings and a passion for shaping communities through thoughtful, sustainable, and impactful design.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all project phases, including concept development, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, consultants, and city agencies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, zoning laws, and sustainability standards.
- Manage client relationships and represent the firm in meetings with public agencies and community stakeholders.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to design reviews and quality control processes.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Architect
- 10+ years of experience
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD.
- Deep understanding of Building Code, ADA, and CEQA requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- LEED or other sustainability credentials preferred.
- Experience working on large-scale public and civil projects
- Knowledge of community engagement and participatory design processes.
- Familiarity with design-build or public-private partnership (P3) delivery models.
- Work on impactful projects that shape California's built environment.
