We're looking for a Junior Estimator to join our team in Sacramento, CA! You'll be working in a commercial construction environment assisting with calculating project costs by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and performing material takeoffs. You will also support the preconstruction team by soliciting subcontractor bids, using estimating software, and preparing budget proposals. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in spreadsheets, and foundational knowledge of construction processes.

• Quantity Takeoffs:
  Review blueprints and specifications to calculate material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Bid Preparation:
  Assist in creating, organizing, and submitting subcontractor bid packages.
• Subcontractor Solicitation:
  Reach out to vendors and subcontractors for pricing, maintaining, and organizing quote logs.
• Cost Analysis:
  Help with value engineering, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting budget creation.
• Software Usage:
  Utilize estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Excel) to compile data.
• Documentation:
  Maintain organized project records, bid documentation, and attend pre-bid meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of Commercial Construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) and takeoff software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Takeoff software (e.g., On-Center)
• Reading construction drawings
• Collaboration with Project Managers

This position can be an entry-level role and there will be some training and room for advancement into senior estimating.
