Responsibilities
Construction Specialists will play a crucial role in the successful execution of paving and restoration projects. They will coordinate activities, provide technical support, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. They may serve as the point of coordination between contractors, local authorities, and government agencies to align project scopes and responsibilities, ensuring smooth progress. They may offer technical advice throughout the construction process, including preparing reports, assisting in bidding documents, and clarifying inquiries from bidders.
They may oversee project budgets to keep expenditures within limits and recommend certification of payments to contractors. Construction Specialists may manage documentation requirements, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure all necessary forms and reports are accurate and submitted on time. They may produce construction progress reports, identify schedule constraints or complications, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
They may perform on-site inspections to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and addressing any technical problems that arise.
- 3-4 years Asphalt Experience (paving roads or paving maintenance)
- 4‑year degree preferred, preferably in an engineering related field (Engineering, Construction Management)
- Fluent in data analytical skills and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to communicate well (verbally, email, text, IM, MS Teams)
- Needs to have the right balance of field experience and office experience.

- This position pays between $85,000 to $95,000 annually, based on years of experience, and is an exempt position.
- Benefits offered include company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
