Position: Human Resources Policy Analyst (Selection Division Policy Analyst)

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week. This is subject to change based on operational needs.

About This Role

Under the direction of the Selection Division (SD) Chief and the Assistant Chief, the Analyst II serves as a journey level policy analyst on matters related to the development, interpretation, maintenance, and updating of the CalHR Human Resources (HR) Manual. In addition, the analyst is responsible for responding to State Personnel Board (SPB) examination appeals; deciding Merit System Services (MSS) examination appeals;

providing guidance to State of California selection staff; and conducting the annual statewide Selection Delegation Agreement (SDA) process.

$6,212.00 - $7,775.00 L/month

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

$3,975.00 - $4,983.00 L/month

$4,305.00 - $5,389.00 M/month

$5,164.00 - $6,464.00 N/month

Special Requirements
