Overview

Under the direction of a Supervisor of Building Trades, and with direction from a Carpenter III, the Carpenter II performs institutional and special repairs throughout Folsom State Prison. They may lead and instruct the work of Carpenters I as well as unskilled Incarcerated Persons. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Working Conditions

Folsom State Prison is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Sacramento and just minutes from old town Folsom. The grounds of the prison are surrounded by landscaping and wildlife (deer, squirrels, turkeys, geese, etc.).
