Job Description and Duties:
This role, under the direction of the CCCU Chief, Supervisor I, acts as a Contract Manager (CM) and performs the more responsible, varied, and complex technical and administrative activities related to the development, operation, administrative functions, and ongoing monitoring of several Managed Care health plan contracts. The Contract Oversight and Program Analysis Section oversees health care contracts and ensures compliance for health plans operating within designated California regions.
Each health plan is assigned to a dedicated CM.
- Resolve issues related to contractual interpretation, quality of care, member services, eligibility, and scope of benefits.
- Analyze health plan performance by reviewing provider data reports, network structures, policies, marketing materials, and other contractually required submissions.
- Evaluate deliverables to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Review plan inquiries and approve deliverables; coordinate with other divisions as needed. Review reports, performance data, and contract submissions (e.g., provider directories, marketing materials, newsletters, etc.).
- Research and provide guidance to health plans on Medi-Cal program requirements and policies.
This classification was previously Staff Services Analyst and is now Analyst I, effective January 1, 2026.
