Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator II (Supervisor), the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) (AA I) is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing the operations and activities of the Accounts Payable - Vouchers and Travel Unit in the Accounting Office. The incumbent ensures all payments are made in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Control Agencies’ guidelines and rules as set forth in the State Administrative Manual (SAM), and further defined by the State Controller’s Office (SCO), Department of Personnel Administration regulations and procedures, and Financial Systems of California (FI$Cal), which aids in managing the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) financial commitments.
