Under close supervision of the Supervisor I, the Student Assistant primarily performs duties in support of the Patient Cost Recovery Section (PCRS). The incumbent must communicate effectively, establish, and maintain cooperative working relationships with others, have strong work ethic, be dependable, meet deadlines, and exercise good judgment.
Assist in processing Financial Assistance Program applications including but not limited to processing mail, asset determinations, and account verification. Monitor PCRS main phone line and Trust Office email inbox, respond to inquiries and forward to appropriate subject matter expert.
Assist in research Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services for update to patient accounts.
The Student Assistant will work flexible hours in accordance with their school schedule, and operational needs of PCRS. The classification is a temporary TAU appointment. The Student Assistant may not work more than 1500 hours in a 12 consecutive month period. There is no guarantee of work hours, and work hours will vary. No health, dental, or vision benefits are provided for persons in this classification.
