Job Description and Duties
This position is located in the city of Yreka.
Under the general supervision of the SSM I, in the Redding Branch of the Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Division, and working cooperatively with other branches throughout the District and Blind Field Services, the Branch Office Technician is the sole clerical support for the branch office and performs a variety of clerical duties including, but not limited to, mailing, filing, document preparation, document review, correspondence, record keeping, procuring office supplies, and maintaining office equipment in good working order.
As the sole clerical support for the branch office, the Branch Office Technician provides local support to the Team Manager/Rehabilitation Supervisor for facilities and other administrative functions as needed.
The Branch Office Technician communicates regularly with VR staff, provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, ensures the timely completion of assignments, and interacts with consumers and coworkers in a professional manner with integrity and respect. The Branch Office Technician will attempt to resolve concerns at the lowest possible level and will offer other dispute resolution options before elevating to the next level, if needed.

Working Conditions
The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation.
The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
