Position: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: West Sacramento or Davis, CA (onsite/hybrid depending on business needs)

Ledgent, a Roth Staffing Company, is partnering with a well‑established Sacramento, CA client to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This role will be responsible for full‑cycle accounts payable processing and supporting the accounting team with accurate and timely financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle accounts payable, including invoice intake, coding, approval, and posting
  • Process high‑volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform three‑way matching (invoice, PO, receipt)
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
  • Maintain vendor files and handle W‑9s and 1099 preparation
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies professionally
  • Assist with month‑end close and audit support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of full‑cycle accounts payable experience
  • Quick Books experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP related to payables
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
