Gov) transactions, the Vitu platform is reimagining how drivers, businesses and governments interact with vehicles. Vitu has offices in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
This individual should have knowledge of the registration and transfer process, policies and procedures as set forth by DMV as well as internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Meticulously review all documents that have been electronically filed by the second line business partner.
- Maintain no more than a 3% error rate; this error ratio includes the first line of service provider and the auditor.
- Under direction of the Audit Manager, certify that all appropriate paperwork is in hand and all information submitted is accurate, complete and matches the corresponding paperwork in accordance with DMV policy. Inaccuracies are marked for further review by BPA.
- Audit paperwork against DMV policies, providing notice to clients and to DMV as set forth by company procedures.
- Audit/review an average of at least 600+ deals per day.
- Flag errors that can be fixed, contact clients for additional information and/or documents.
- Arrange paperwork in proper order as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Identify errors and prohibited transactions; determine if a transaction is worthy of error notice.
- Print clear and concise error notice for client; arrange bundle order and manage each bundle after audit is complete.
- Access customer data for reprinting required paperwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience as a DMV clerk at a dealership, credit union or similar registration service.
- At least 1 year of experience as an Auditor or similar position.
- Automotive industry knowledge is a plus.
- Creative and able to offer suggestions to achieve desired results.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Team player, self‑motivated, career oriented, with a desire to contribute to the growth of the company.
- Maintain awareness of business‑related trends in the industry.
- Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with flexibility to adapt to ever changing business needs.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
The hourly rate range for this position is $18.79 – $28.26. The final pay will be determined by multiple factors including location, education, experience, training and skills.
