Under close supervision of the Administrator 11, the Accounting Technician performs semi-professional accounting work in the Accounting Section. The Accounting Technician performs a variety of duties such as sorting incoming documents, distributing, scanning, and filing. Separation of Duties:
The duties of this position include responsibilities covered by the State Administrative Manual (SAM) Section 7280. To ensure proper separation of duties, you may not be eligible for this position if a family member (domestic partners, children, husband, wife, brother, sister, or individuals living in the same household) works in the Accounting Section. Additional positions may become available (eRPA ).

- Experience in accounting/financial record keeping
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures associated with California's accounting structure
- Knowledge of the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal)
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience writing business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong organizational skill
- Strong public and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team enviroment
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible with changing priorities
