Payroll Specialist (Union & Prevailing Wage)
Pay: $29–$32 per hour

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong union and prevailing wage experience. This position requires deep attention to detail, excellent compliance knowledge, and the ability to manage full‑cycle payroll in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process full‑cycle payroll for weekly and/or bi-weekly employee groups
- Manage union payroll, including reporting, dues calculations, and compliance
- Prepare and submit prevailing wage reports (DIR, certified payroll, etc.)
- Review timesheets for accuracy, job classifications, and work codes
- Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and payroll adjustments
- Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project teams
- Provide payroll reporting for audits and management requests
- 2+ years of payroll experience; union and prevailing wage experience required
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance requirements
- Experience with certified payroll reporting platforms (e.g., LCPtracker, DIR)
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, Paycom, or similar)
- Strong Excel and data-entry accuracy
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
