Accounts Payable Specialist

Position: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Sacramento, California. This position is integral to the finance department, ensuring that all payable accounts are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
Responsibilities

• Process invoices and ensure payments are made on time.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Maintain vendor files and handle all inquiries from vendors regarding payment status.
• Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Education requirement is an Associate's Degree Preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Additional Details

The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
