We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments of invoices, and supporting our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor relationships and communicate effectively regarding payment inquiries.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• AP maintains records of invoices, payments, and vendor information, ensuring proper documentation for financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Ensuring accurate coding of invoices to specific projects.
• Tracking payments related to specific projects.
• Ensuring proper matching of revenues and expenses for each project.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Cross-train with our payroll specialist to provide coverage during absences and vacations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in the construction industry or similar field is a plus.

• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in construction accounting or related field is preferred
• Procore, SAGE and hh2 experience would be a plus.
