Responsibilities- Supervise authorization coordinators to ensure accurate and timely work.
- Provide and enhance job results through coaching, counseling, employee development, and recognition; assist with selection, orientation and mentoring of new staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing and service levels and maintain customer satisfaction by implementing and monitoring staff productivity and other performance indicators.
- Assure staffing coverage during earned time use, leaves of absence, and disability.
- Maintain professional relationships with the provider community and provide excellent customer service internally and externally while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and revise documentation and tracking systems for monitoring compliance with managed care requirements and licensing standards.
- Complete staff quality audit reviews. Evaluate services and outcomes and recommend enhancements for programs and staff development to ensure cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of systems related to new state, funding source, or federal mandates, recommending updates as appropriate.
- Identify areas of potential non-compliance and assist in the development and follow-up of corrective action plans as directed.
- Assist staff with obtaining timely authorization.
- Collaborate with Director in reviewing report data, assessing budget performance, and advising on corrective actions where needed.
- Serve as an administrative resource for all staff and provide relief for counterparts in neighboring programs.
- Conduct job performance reviews as required in conjunction with the Director of Patient Accounts; provide recommendations for professional development of staff.
- Associates degree in business or minimum of five (5) years of related training and experience.
- Active driver's license.
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
