Under the direction of the Senior Director of Intensive Services and the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Residential Clinical Dietitian is the medical nutrition expert responsible for coordinating all phases of nutrition care including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation of the residents. The Residential Clinical Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy services to residents residing in all residential treatment programs (RTP), educating residents and families both as individuals and in groups (50% of this position's responsibilities with be direct client facing).
The Residential Clinical Dietitian participates in the department to promote organizational standards. There will be some travel between two regions (Southern and Coastal).
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university.
- License/
Certifications:
Registered by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed by the State of Maine. - Experience: One (1) year of outpatient dietitian practice and at least one (1) year experience with consumers of mental illness preferred.
