Among the duties expected of Spurwink Special Education Teachers are planning and delivering instruction, implementing goals for Individual Education Plans and monitoring progress, coaching, providing behavior management aligned with an integrated therapeutic model, creating and maintaining a classroom culture that supports the therapeutic model, and providing oversight of Educational Technicians III assigned to their classrooms.
QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and Maine State certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282 Birth - 5 yrs) or be eligible for 282 certification. A letter of eligibility for 282 certification is required if less than professionally/provisionally certified.
