Job purpose
A Guest Services Cashier encounters all types of scenarios and situations that involve cashiering, as well as guest relations. They exist to help guests through any type of situation. They assist with other duties as well, during times of light entrance sales.
Duties and responsibilities
Guest Services Duties
- Perform all Main Booth Duties as described below.
- Specialty Sales
- Selling/printing season passes.
- Printing online orders.
- Replacing bracelets.
- Guest Relations
- Helping guests.
- Working with Cash Managers and Supervisors.
- Using the Phone.
- Sales
- Informing guests about the park.
- Informing guests of their options for park admittance.
- Selling one day passes.
- Handling money, both cash and credit cards.
- Using a computerized point-of-sale system.
- Braceletting guests correctly.
- Park information
- General park information.
- Ride/slide types, locations and information.
- Ride/slide safety requirements.
- Food stands and their locations.
- Bathroom locations.
- Cleaning
- Cleaning the windows.
- Sweeping the booth.
- Taking out the booth trash.
- Keeping the booth looking its best.
- Checking Bracelets
- Verifying that only guests with a bracelet of the right color of the day come into the park.
- Checking Coolers and bags
- Inspecting that items that come into the park are allowed into the park.
- Working with security to confiscate disallowed items.
- Stroller, Wagon, Wheelchair, Scooter Rentals
- Handling sales for the rentals.
- Issuing and returning rentals.
- Responsibly holding IDs as collateral.
- Cleaning
- Making sure the Gate always looks its best.
- Cleansing the mobility devices.
- Maintaining the flowers around the gate.
- Cleaning Main Booth windows.
- Sweeping the courtyard.
- Guest Relations
- Greeting the guests as they come in.
- Offer them a Park map.
- Ask them if they have any questions.
- Check the heights of the guest when needed by the main booth cashiers.
- Selling Photos
- Using a cash register.
- Handling money.
- Using a credit card machine.
- Printing Photos
- Printing and preparing the photos for the guest.
- Providing guest with great service.
- Cleaning
- Sweeping the floor of the photo booth.
- Cleaning the counter.
- Making sure the photo booth looks its best.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the Department.
- Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
- Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
- You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.
- Must be at least 16 years of age in accordance with State Law.
- Charismatic and approachable.
- Be confident talking to guests.
- Be guest friendly and authoritative.
- Previous Funtown Main Booth Cashier training is required.
- Mainly works in air-conditioned environment.
- Select tasks may require working in direct/indirect sunlight and outside unpredictable Maine weather. We ask that you come prepared and dress appropriately.
- They must have the ability to carry up to 20 lbs.
- Applicant should be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
