AP Specialist

A longstanding KBW client in the Portland, ME area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing business. In this role you will support daily AP operations and ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls while partnering with internal teams and external vendors.

The good faith compensation range for this role is $45,000 - $50,000.

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices; research and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process vendor payments (check and electronic)
• Reconcile AP aging and assist with reporting and account adjustments
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and maintain accurate records
• Support ongoing process improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls

• Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s preferred.
• 0–1 year of Accounts Payable experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel and general business systems; ERP experience a plus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
