HVAC Mechanic

LB&B Associates is currently seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic to support a contract for operations and mechanical maintenance in Rutland, VT (Federal Building).

Hourly Pay Rate: $41.20 per hour.
Health & Welfare Pay: $7.50 per hour (up to 40 hours per week). This full‑time union position offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and a pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The HVAC Mechanic must be willing to obtain/maintain NATE Certification within 6 months of employment. If NATE certified, the pay rate is $43.26 per hour.

The HVAC Mechanic must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment and must be competent to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other HVAC equipment and building systems. Candidates should also have general maintenance knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Universal EPA or CFC certification is required.
• Technical training in HVAC is highly desired.
