AboutThe Role
The Patient Access Center Specialist will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure patients are scheduled, registered, and ready to receive the care they need in a friendly, timely manner.
Functions Of The Position- Answer phone calls with excellent customer service skills.
- Schedule patients within the algorithm designed and utilize nurse triage when necessary.
- Properly scan all appropriate paperwork into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Work closely with each practice to ensure all data items are accessible and in the correct standard EMR location.
- Provide directory information to internal and external inquirers.
- Act in a professional manner at all times.
- Be knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma required or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Complete work in accordance with productivity metrics.
- Provide information regarding office policy and procedure.
