Come join our quaint clinic in Rutland, VT. The Rutland clinic has been in operation for 5 years. Hanger Vermont is new to the Hanger family and growing quickly. Here you will be working independently in a small one clinician office. You will have the support of an on site admin and also the support of our larger team in the Essex Junction, VT office.
Currently our patient population is across all ages but we have a large focus on pediatrics.
We service all of Central and Southern Vermont and at this time, this position may encompass travel to one or more satellite clinics within a radius of roughly 60 miles. At our clinic, we have a roomy office with on-site lab. Major fabrication is done in out larger Essex office where our three skillful technicians utilize the latest technology.
In the greater Rutland area you may enjoy lakes, parks, outdoor recreation, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, show shoeing, cross country skiing, and of course our beautiful mountains. We experience all four seasons and have amazing farm to table food options as well as art and culture. We are a short drive to bigger cities like Boston, MA or Albany NY and NY city is even pretty close by!

Our patients are our focus and are the heart of everything we do. As a Hanger Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, you will leverage exceptional training and an extensive collaborative clinical community nearly 1600 providers strong to provide or supervise the delivery of comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care. You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, implement those plans, follow-up with your patients and participate in practice management.
If you have not yet achieved certification, you will provide care under the direction of one of our certified clinicians.
Depending on the operational requirements, size of the Hanger Clinic and subject to limitations imposed by state and/or local law, your role may include some or all of the functions listed below.
- Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient’s need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary.
- Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
- Formulate design of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
- Select materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, taking into account new techniques and materials.
