Position: Crisis Stabilization & Inpatient Diversion Shift Lead - $1,000 Sign on Bonus*

Overview

Community Care Network is seeking a Crisis Stabilization & Inpatient Diversion Shift Lead to join our team. Community Care Network is comprised of Rutland Mental Health Services and Rutland Community Programs. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of our communities, individuals and families through responsive, innovative and collaborative human services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of day-to-day operations of the Crisis Stabilization & Inpatient Diversion (CSID) program to maintain a safe, healthy and therapeutic residential environment.
  • Coordinate client services, maintain adherence with daily schedule, ensure treatment and discharge plans are followed, mentor new staff, and assist with staffing coverage.
  • Assist clients in minimizing symptoms of acute psychiatric episodes by structuring wellness activities, assessing needs and preferences within the residence and in the community, providing supportive counseling, planning discharge services and assisting with reintegration into the community.
  • Foster effective communication and a positive working relationship with the treatment team across all shifts to deliver efficient and effective care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, social work or related field preferred;
    High School diploma required.
  • Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift:
  • 2nd shift: 2:45pm-11:15pm
  • 3rd shift: 10pm-8am
  • A minimum of one year experience in a Residential Recovery Specialist position or similar position required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to work effectively with adults experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms as part of a team of professional care providers.
  • Understanding of the etiology and treatment of mental illness.
  • Ability to provide recovery-oriented counseling/support.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and work within a team structure.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
