A respected Further Education college in Wales is recruiting a full-time Estates Officer / Caretaker on a temporary contract. This is a practical, hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day running of a busy campus. Ideal for someone with caretaking or facilities experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well‑presented environment.
Responsibilities- Opening and securing buildings (key holding)
- Daily site checks and ensuring a safe, compliant campus
- Minor repairs, first‑line maintenance, and basic DIY tasks
- Setting up classrooms, exam spaces, and events
- Responding to facilities requests from staff and students
- Supporting health & safety routines, including fire alarm testing
- Experience in estates, caretaking, facilities, or building maintenance
- Practical maintenance/DIY skills
- Strong awareness of health & safety
- Good communication and a customer‑focused approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Flexibility to support operational needs
Full‑time contract (37 hours per week) – £12.50‑£14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
