Handyman, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Building Maintenance

A respected Further Education college in Wales is recruiting a full‑time Estates Officer / Handyperson on a temporary contract. This is a practical, hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day running of a busy campus. Ideal for someone with caretaking or facilities experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well‑presented environment.

• Opening and securing buildings (key‑holding)
• Daily site checks and ensuring a safe, compliant campus
• Minor repairs, first‑line maintenance, and basic DIY tasks
• Setting up classrooms, exam spaces, and events
• Responding to facilities requests from staff and students
• Supporting health & safety routines, including fire alarm testing
• Grounds duties such as litter picking and gritting
• Porterage: moving furniture, equipment, and deliveries
  
  Occasional support with call‑outs or shift cover

• Experience in estates, caretaking, facilities, or building maintenance
• Practical maintenance/DIY skills
• Strong awareness of health & safety склон

• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility to support operational needs
• DBS

• Full‑time contract (37 hours per week)
£15‑£17 per hour, depending on experience
