Savvas Learning Company is seeking a part-time Curriculum Specialist to support our K-12 Math curriculum in the Mountain West territory, including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. The role combines education expertise with regional sales support and product knowledge.

Ideal locations:
Denver, CO;
Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering winning presentations for each sales cycle to include six customer touch points:
  Exhibits and Conferences;
  Pre-work and Issue setting workshops;
  Meetings and Campaigns;
  Program Activation;
  Pilots;
  Sales Presentations.
• Provide Pilot Activation Trainings and ongoing communication and support for pilot teachers throughout the pilot process.
• Provide customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
• Maintain content level expertise through Savvas certification process and approved materials.
• Deliver Program Activation trainings for new and ongoing customer accounts.
• Develop deep understanding of Savvas print and digital solutions.
• Maintain positive ongoing relationships with customers during the sales cycle and after activation to ensure client satisfaction and route to appropriate Savvas teams as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of K-12 education experience, including classroom teaching.
• BS or BA;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Biliterate in English/Spanish preferred.
• Specialty training or advanced certification is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of education theory and market trends in K-12 Math.
• Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 education.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small groups.
• Experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.
• Public speaking experience and ability to create engaging presentations for teachers, parents, district administrators, superintendents, or adoption committees.
• Technology proficiency for multimedia presentations (PC/Mac, whiteboard technology, 1:1 devices).
• Biliterate in English/Spanish preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Regional travel required; requests may be made with short notice.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Timekeeping and expense monitoring in accordance with Savvas policies.
• Collaborate with sales, services, and operations to address customer satisfaction issues and ensure client success.
• Self-starter with ability to engage in self-directed training and preparedness.
• Ability to have pointed conversations with school districts in K-12 Math.
• Understanding of sales campaign strategy, market trends, and Savvas services.

Hiring Range: $37/hr – $40/hr compensable time includes program and pilot activation, internal training $30/hr, and travel & administrative $20/hr these figures are good-faith estimates and may be modified based on skills, experience, budget, and internal equity.
