Statement of

Purpose:

The Co-Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and developing the store crew. They assist the unit manager in operating and maintaining the store to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Sales and Profits:
  • Builds sales by promoting customer satisfaction.
  • Manages costs by monitoring crew prep, production, and procedures execution.
  • Tracks waste levels by using established procedures and monitoring crew activities.
  • Communicates sales and profit issues to the unit manager.
  • Assists in executing store sales and profit plans.
  • Monitors food costs to prevent waste and theft.
  • Staffing:
  • Hires, trains, and terminates crew members for adequate coverage.
  • Utilizes W.O.T.C.
  • Monitors crew turnover and recommends improvements.
  • Quality:
  • Monitors product quality through customer interactions and performance management.
  • Service:
  • Ensures efficient service times.
  • Trains crew to respond promptly and courteously to customers.
  • Encourages feedback to gauge customer satisfaction.
  • Cleanliness:
  • Trains crew to maintain cleanliness.
  • Follows the store cleaning plan.
  • Training:
  • Trains crew on new products and processes.
  • Assists in training new managers.
  • Cross-trains crew for coverage efficiency.
  • Controls:
  • Follows flowcharts to meet prep and production goals.
  • Monitors inventory and maintains security.
  • Follows store priorities and standards.
  • Manages shift to Q.S.C. level of 80% or better.
  • Policies and Procedures:
  • Follows operational and safety procedures.
  • Reports accidents and maintains compliance.
  • Administration:
  • Performs required administrative duties.
  • Maintenance:
  • Follows maintenance programs and reports issues.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Manages performance issues and promotes retention.
  • Performance Management:
  • Addresses performance problems and conducts reviews.
  • EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

    Knowledge:
    • Wendy's operating systems, policies, supervisory practices, and training programs.
    Education:
    • College degree or equivalent experience.
    Experience:
    • 1 year in restaurant operations.
    Other:
    • Standing for long periods, valid driver’s license, physical inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot/cold environments.
