Overview

Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team based in the North West.

Responsibilities:

Analyse the current health and safety systems and related processes.

Contribute to the development of the health and safety strategy of the Company.

Review the existing health and safety procedures to assist

Develop and maintain productive and/or conducive relationships with stakeholders.

Measure the risk behaviour of people, coach, and train to achieve a sustainable safety culture.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements.

Participate in the health and safety events management and planning.

Ensure that Company processes are well–defined, understood, and executed.

Continuously improve business and safety processes and systems.

Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Ensure that management decisions and health and safety incidents/accidents are communicated and understood.

Requirements:

Grade 12

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related studies.

Comsoc 1 and 2

Blasting Certificate

Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency (Advantageous)

Management Development Programme (MDP)(Advantageous)

Masters in Business Administration or Leadership (MBA/L)(Advantageous)

in-depth knowledge of ISO Standards implementation, Matrix, and requirements.

Experience in best incident investigation techniques.

5+ years’ experience in a similar role in the mining industry.

In-depth knowledge of relevant mine and health safety legislation.
