GCU Academy of Sciences (GCUASc) is a values‑centred, multi‑racial, independent STEAM school with an integrated Technology & Innovation Hub and Aftercare Programme.
The school launches in 2026 with Grades K–4 and expands annually to a full high school by 2028, with multi‑campus expansion planned over the next 3–5 years.

Role PurposeWe are seeking exceptional, high‑performing Foundation Phase STEAM Teachers to join our founding team. Successful candidates will establish academic excellence, innovative teaching practices, and a values‑driven school culture from inception.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning- Deliver engaging, learner‑centred STEAM lessons aligned with CAPS
, enhanced by innovation frameworks - Teach Mathematics, foundational Science, Digital Literacy, and integrated Arts
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem‑solving
- Maintain high academic, behavioural, and professional standards
- Confident use of educational technology and digital platforms
- Support age‑appropriate coding, robotics, maker activities, and project‑based learning
- Collaborate with the Africa Tech Hub to enrich learning experiences
- Model good character, leadership, and service
- Support learners’ emotional, spiritual, and social development
- Build respectful relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to a high‑performance, accountable staff culture
- Assist with curriculum development, assessment, and school systems
- Participate in aftercare and enrichment programmes where required
- SACE registration (mandatory)
- Recognised Foundation Phase teaching qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong command of English (spoken and written)
- Excellent mathematics and science teaching ability
- Strong computer literacy and confidence with digital tools
- Willingness to grow with the school into higher grades
- Professional, articulate, and confident communicator
- Passion for innovation, technology, and learner‑centred education

- Gross Salary: R10,000 – R25,000 per month (negotiable, based on experience and role)
