Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Job title: Accountant

Location: On-site at Mine (North-west province , 30 mins from Sun city, 60 mins from Rustenburg)

Salary: Market related, dependent on experience and qualifications

Vacancy type: Full-time

Duties:

• Process and capture daily accounting transactions (invoices, payments, petty cash)
• Maintain general ledger, supplier, and customer records
• Prepare monthly management accounts and journal entries (accruals, prepayments)
• Perform bank, supplier, and payroll reconciliations
• Use ERP/accounting systems (Zoho Books, Sage Pastel, etc.)
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare cash flow and working capital reports
• Handle VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and other statutory submissions to SARS
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting and tax regulations
• Liaise with auditors and support annual audit processes
• Raise invoices, purchase/work orders, and assist with payroll processing
• Reconcile employee cost records and statutory deductions

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
• SAICA/SAIPA articles advantageous
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience (preferably in mining, manufacturing, or logistics sectors)
• Strong understanding of South African tax laws and compliance standards
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books, Sage Pastel)
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
• Accuracy, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
