Responsibilities include ensuring all quality parts are packaged in appropriate packaging, retrieving parts from machines or conveyors, trimming and de-flashing as needed, removing gate, flash, and excess plastic, inspecting each part for flaws, disposing rejected parts in grinders for recycling, performing required operations or assembly to finish parts, labeling packaging, and performing Statistical Process Control functions as required. Maintain an orderly and clean work area, keep up to the speed of the machine, and complete all required paperwork.

Must be able to visually inspect parts produced; vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust to focus.

Must be able to frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; must reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must have the ability to withstand constant repetitive wrist motion, prolonged standing, and frequent bending, twisting, or stretching as often as every 30 seconds during an 8-hour shift. Must be able to regularly climb ladders, stairs, or balance. Must be capable of lifting up to 16 pounds repetitively (up to 900 times during an 8-hour shift) and occasionally lift/move between 10 and 25 pounds.

Must be available to work off shifts (nights and weekends).

Qualifications

Must be proficient in mathematics.

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and understand and carry out verbal instructions. Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to function as a team player.

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to vibration; is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat and cold. Work where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
