Job Summary

As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be part of one of the largest sales channels in the company. Your dynamic personality will forge powerful connections with our customers, exceed sales targets, and deliver an unparalleled partner and customer experience. You will act as an in‑store brand ambassador, selling connectivity solutions and creating lifelong customers through exceptional service. Your success will be supported by peers and leaders who cultivate the skills needed to achieve sales targets and allow you to be a successful earner in Optimum’s lucrative compensation plan.

Responsibilities
  • First point of contact – create a welcoming environment, listen to customer needs, and provide personalized guidance to help them find the right products and services.
  • Product expert – maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, stay updated on industry trends, and recommend the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Problem solver – handle billing and service questions, process payments, exchanges, and equipment issues efficiently, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Brand ambassador – embody the Optimum brand, demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all interactions, and reflect positively on our company values.
  • Team builder – work closely with colleagues to ensure an exceptional customer experience, share knowledge, assist with complex inquiries, and support a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of retail selling experience.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills to support customer solutions.
  • Ability to travel to other stores within 35 miles, as required.
  • Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work full time and weekends as necessary.
