Job Title: ENT Clinical LPN

Supervised by: Office Coordinator/Physician

Job Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting for patients with various ear, nose and throat ailments or allergies. Works under physician direction, provides nursing care in accordance with the nursing practice act, and communicates with the doctor continuously and as needed about patient condition. Participates in performance improvement activities, assesses exam room readiness, obtains supplies, monitors and assists patients during procedures, and maintains patient confidentiality in all interactions and medical records.

  • Prepares and administers allergy shots per physician orders and established protocols.
  • Performs allergy skin testing and accurately documents results.
  • Monitors patients for adverse reactions and provides immediate intervention when necessary.
  • Maintains accurate and timely patient records, including injection logs and test results.
  • Educates patients on allergy treatment plans, safety precautions, and follow‑up care.
  • Ensures proper storage, handling, and inventory of allergy serums and supplies.
  • Adheres to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and provides age‑appropriate care.
  • Directs and assists in maintenance and handling of special equipment and instruments.
  • Treats patients and families with respect and dignity and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
  • Prepares and cleans exam rooms before and between cases.
  • Maintains clean, well‑equipped treatment and procedure rooms.
  • Protects patient sensitivities and right to privacy.
  • Is consistently ready and prepared for assigned cases, having the patient in the exam room 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and good working relationships with co‑workers for the patient’s benefit.
  • Utilizes initiative, strives for steady productivity, is self‑motivated, manages activity and time, and does not waste time.
  • Completes annual educational requirements.
Requirements Regulatory Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Arkansas.
  • Current BLS certification.
Language Skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
Skills
  • Basic computer knowledge.
Physical Demands
  • Mobility, sight, hearing, verbal communication, changes in temperature, exposure to disagreeable elements, biological, mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Frequent standing and walking. Lift up to 100 pounds, carry up to 40 pounds, push/pull up to 450 pounds.
  • Mobility; this position is a safety sensitive position pursuant to Amendment 98 to the Arkansas Constitution.
  • Safety sensitive position means any position in which a person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety. This position requires performing life‑threatening procedures, working with hazardous or flammable materials, controlled substances, food, or medicine, and a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.
