Summary
We are seeking a skilled Set-up Operator to join our team. Responsibilities include using tools/equipment such as micrometer, calipers and gages, studies blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpiece and starting machine operation to adjust machine controls.
Responsibilities- Reviews and follows Safety policies and procedures.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, Adcole reports, and CMM reports, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, tools, attachments, locators, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Understand and know when to change tools.
- Understand Offsets and adjustments and how they are made.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Knows and understands how to recover the machine in cases of tool damage, machine fault or other similar circumstances.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 1 or more years of manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Ability to use instruments for measuring and identifying defects.
- Ability to read, write, and verbalize instructions in English.
- Experience with PLC or CNC operations, preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Pay Scale: $19.91 – $22.50 per hour starting wages
Additional pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts: $0.60 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
