Your Contribution- Supports plant management cost center budgeting, actual cost and variances, reviews and analyzes balance sheet accounts and profit and loss accounts, creates monthly financial reports for management. Works with external and internal auditors to validate the financial results of the company.
- Plans, studies, and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor, and overhead.
- Analyzes financial data obtained and records results.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assists in developing and maintaining standard costs and yearly budgets. Creates and maintains standard cost values used in the valuation of inventory and Cost of Goods Sold.
- Analyzes production reporting for variances and report to management the causes of the variances.
- Analyzes Balance Sheet accounts for errors and variance to plan issues and report to management.
- Analyzes Profit and Loss accounts for errors and variance to plan issues and report to management.
- Provide the Auditors with requested data to assist with the annual financial audit.
- Develop, evaluate and continuously improve different product costing and cost accounting methods to be applied in the plant and product costing for the standard cost valuation.
- Has responsibilities for the standard cost accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience in SAP is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four‑year college or university; or an Associate’s degree with two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
