Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems. It supports several global programs, including Gripen – SAAB, Hawk – BAE Systems, KF21 – Hanwha Aerospace, and AW101 – Leonardo Helicopters.

With a strong focus on cutting‑edge technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and lean techniques, we are committed to delivering high‑value, precision‑engineered components for complex landing gear systems.

Job Summary

The production controller is an integral part of the Operations Team, whose primary purpose is to ensure the effective and efficient flow of goods around the shop, from both internal and external suppliers, in order to ensure targets, set by the monthly Sales plan for OE, MRO & Spares, are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the sales plan in alignment with customer requirements, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Release sales orders based on stock availability and completion of build units, adhering to customers' delivery rules.
  • Manage the MRP system to provide accurate completion dates for all cycles, prioritizing the correct work accordingly.
  • Keep the central order book updated with forecasts for OE, MRO, Spares, Warranty, and MSQs.
  • Identify and communicate internal and external shortages, collaborating with production planners and buyers to address them promptly.
  • Determine the earliest start date for new customer orders, coordinating with Production Planners and Cycle 3 managers.
  • Prioritize Production Orders to meet demand requirements when necessary.
  • Review Line of Balance reports to assess risks impacting sales and elevate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor stock availability for OE, warranty, MRO, and Spares, taking corrective actions to address delays.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Must have previous experience in a Production Control / Production Scheduler / Production Planner role.
  • Strong understanding and experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of engineering would be ideal.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
