Overview

Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our Pharmacy Department. As a Pharmacist, you will instantly become a valued member of our Pharmacy team, helping to ensure our patients always receive the highest quality service. The role is based in Runcorn and will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company that specialises in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition.

The company's products and services are used to help care for critically and chronically ill patients. Our product portfolio comprises a comprehensive range of I.V. generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of Pharmacy Team Leaders, performing the duties associated with the "responsible Pharmacist" of the licensed pharmacy premises.
  • Undertake professional duties relating to the dispensing of compounded and non-compounded products (where applicable).
  • Manage prescriptions and processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements of prescription management and maintain accurate patient prescription records.
  • Ensure dispensing systems and processes are efficient and comply with all legal requirements, including General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) requirements.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by the Pharmacy PN Manager/Head of Pharmacy.
  • Assess and provide stability assessments on unlicensed compounded PN, assign configuration for machines used to compound PN and formulate PN from a request.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rota (paid separately) to provide support for all pharmacy teams.
Qualifications
  • GPhC registered pharmacist with clear knowledge of the legal requirements for prescription management in accordance with GPhC guidance.
  • Driven and highly motivated with a flexible, proactive approach to problem solving and continual improvement.
  • Desire to continuously improve business performance.
