Buyer – Aerospace / Aviation | Runcorn | Up to £50,000

I’m partnering with a leading aerospace engineering manufacturer in Runcorn, renowned for producing high‑precision components and assemblies for major global OEMs. Due to continued growth and a busy orderbook, they’re looking to add an experienced Buyer to their procurement team.

As a key part of the supply chain function, you’ll manage end‑to‑end procurement activity to ensure materials, components, and services are delivered on time, in full, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands‑on, proactive role where you’ll build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, negotiate value, and keep production running smoothly.

• Full E2E procurement ownership – from sourcing to PO management
• Ensuring continuity of supply in a fast‑paced, engineering‑led environment
• Managing supplier performance, risk, and delivery metrics
• Supporting NPI and engineering projects as required
• Working cross‑functionally with operations, planning, and quality teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve cost, lead time, and supply chain resilience

• Proven experience as a Buyer within aerospace, aviation, defence, engineering, or a similarly regulated/complex manufacturing environment
• A self‑starter who stays calm under pressure and can take ownership of their portfolio
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and the importance of on‑time delivery
• Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
• Someone who enjoys problem‑solving and working collaboratively in a technical setting
