Position Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a 14‑week assignment in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The role starts ASAP and involves 12‑hour night shifts (36 hours per week) as part of a dedicated clinical team.

- Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition.
- Administer complex medications and treatments per critical‑care protocols.
- Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, addressing physical and emotional needs.
- Document conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify providers of status changes.
- Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters).
- Accurately document all assessments and interventions in the medical record promptly.
- Educate patients and families about ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations.
- Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies via ongoing education.
- Adhere to infection‑control protocols and hospital safety standards.
- Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope.
- Follow hospital safety and regulatory protocols.
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- TNCC or NIHSS certification.
- Any other certifications or licenses required for this position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
- English literacy—reading, writing, and communication.
- Ability to follow instructions and PC proficiency.
- Physical Abilities – remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend.
- Interpersonal Skills – collaborate positively with diverse personnel.
- Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, assist in procedures.
- Mental Requirements – handle public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with/without supervision.
