Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg

Lance Soft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Location: Ruidoso, NM
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay: $2,182 per week
Shift: Day Shift | 12‑hour shifts | 3 shifts/week | 36 hours per week

Job Overview: Seeking an experienced Med‑Surg RN for a critical travel assignment. This role provides direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, and patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced environment. Floating between departments or local units within 20 miles may be required.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol
• Document patient care and responses
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Supervise LPNs and non‑licensed personnel as needed
• Complete age‑specific and protocol‑based education and competency testing

• Minimum 2 years Med‑Surg experience
• At least one 13‑week travel assignment completed
• State RN License (NM or Compact)
• BLS certification (AHA, American Health & Safety, or equivalent)
• Team‑oriented, flexible, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
