Salary: Per Ruidoso Municipal School District Salary Schedule based on experience.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge in grounds and/or plumbing, mechanical, and electrical
• Knowledge of the district
• Knowledge of buildings and utilities
• Ability to prioritize projects and respond to emergencies
• Ability to work with changing priorities, regulations and deadlines
• Ability to analyze situations accurately and recommend necessary action
• Effective staff and public relations skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements

• Attend regular safety training
• Train custodians for minor maintenance (e.g., replacing p-traps, preventive maintenance, record keeping)
• Use the School Dude work order system to document work
• Assist with repair of small machines
• Assist with snow removal as needed
• Represent the district professionally in all dealings with the maintenance team and building custodians
• Perform additional duties assigned by Director of Facilities & Operations and/or Maintenance Coordinator
• Other job duties as assigned

• Flexibility:
  • Bending or twisting at the neck (85-90% of the time)
  • Bending or twisting at the trunk (85-90% of the time)

  • Repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times (85-90% of the time)
• Use Of Arms & Hands:
  • Manual dexterity (90% of the time)
  • Finger dexterity (90% of the time)
• Lifting 10-25 Pounds:
  • Frequent requirement (90% of the time)
  • Lifting above shoulders, waist, or knees (90% of the time for each)
• Lifting 26-50 Pounds:
  • Frequent requirement up to 50% of the time
  • Lifting above shoulders or waist or knees (as needed)
• Lifting 50-75 Pounds:
  • Occasional but essential requirement of lifting over 50 pounds
• Pushing & Pulling:
  • 75 pounds: occasional requirement up to 10%
  • 50-75 pounds: occasional requirement up to 20%
  • 25-50 pounds: frequent requirement up to 60%
• Carrying Tasks:
  • Carrying items weighing 25-50 pounds daily
• Use Of Protective Equipment:
  • Protective equipment may be required for eye, ear, hands, head, feet, and face protection
  • Examples: protective lenses, earplugs/muffs, gloves, hardhat, boots, face shield, etc.
