Role Summary
: A well‑established charity is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join them during an exciting period of transformation. This role works closely with the CFO to keep things running smoothly while leading a major finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee the year‑end audit process and maintain relationships with auditors
  • Lead cash, banking and treasury management operations
  • Manage income and accounts payable processes with appropriate controls
  • Lead the finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Maintain robust internal controls across all finance operations
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial professional qualifying experience
  • Proven experience managing finance functions and leading finance teams
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Charity sector experience highly desirable
  • Experience with finance system implementations an advantage
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact
Details

37.5 hours per week based in Rugby with hybrid working available. Core hours are 10:00‑15:00, giving you flexibility on either side. You’ll work alongside a committed team passionate about lifesaving work.

Basic DBS check required.
