Electrical & Mechanical Fitters

Overview

Litron Lasers is one of the world's leading solid‑state laser manufacturers. Our lasers find widespread use in a multitude of scientific and industrial applications worldwide. Due to increased demand we are expanding production and hiring experienced Manufacturing Electrical and/or Mechanical Fitters to join our teams across three sites in Rugby.

• Read electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
• Build to specification.
• Perform cabinet wiring and cable assembly.
• Construct power supply units.
• Build wiring looms and harnesses.
• Identify, test and fault‑find electrical installations and equipment.
• Perform accurate crimping and soldering of wires.
• Carry out mechanical assembly duties such as cutting, drilling, tapping and soldering.
• Assemble cooler units.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical fitting.
• High dexterity and accuracy, with competence in interpreting electrical or mechanical drawings.
• Experience in assembling electrical and mechanical parts, components and sub‑assemblies.
• Experience with loom preparation – high‑standard wiring, crimping and wire stripping.
• Ability to ensure all production assembly operations comply with production standards and specifications.
• HNC / HND in Engineering desirable.

• Working hours:
  
  37.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
