Overview
We have an opportunity for a suitably-qualified and inspirational dance teacher at this leading independent co-educational day and boarding school to run our Dance Sports sessions and one-to-one tuition sessions.
Contract:
Maternity Cover | Hours during term-time | £35.21 plus £4.25 holiday pay per hour
- Teach students a variety of styles such as ballet, tap, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, modern, jazz and street (with the possibility of curriculum Dance).
- Choreograph for and organise an annual dance show, plus assist with choreography for School productions and performances on an ad hoc basis.
- Prepare and deliver dance sessions for Dance Sports and one-to-one tuition.
- Suitable-qualified and inspirational dance teacher with knowledge and skills in dance and choreography.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills at application and interview.
This is a fixed-term position to cover a period of maternity leave. The working hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during term-time for both Dance Sports Sessions and the one-to-one tuition sessions (approximately 18.5 hours per week). Additional hours are available on an ad hoc basis in co-curricular activities and to support School productions and performances. There will also be the opportunity to carry out private tuition lessons and to be involved in Dance courses through School holiday periods where available.
