Assistant Site Manager

Location:

West Midlands, Warwickshire, Dunchurch

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

Salary: £38,000 - £47,000 per annum

A National Housing Developer is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a new build housing project based in Rugby.

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £48,000 plus a generous benefits package.

Job Duties

Support the Site Manager in the effective planning, organisation, and control of construction activities on site.
Ensure all work is carried out safely, to the required quality standards, within agreed time frames and budget.
Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and labour teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Monitor daily progress and report on site activities, including resolving any operational issues promptly.
Maintain accurate site records, including deliveries, inspections, and health and safety documentation.
Assist in managing materials, plant, and resources to ensure efficient site operation.
Uphold company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety and environmental standards.
Engage with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.

Required Qualifications

Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
Current First Aid qualification.
Full, clean Driving Licence.

Experience

Proven experience working in a similar Assistant Site Manager role, ideally within new build housing projects.
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams effectively.
Familiarity with site health and safety legislation and best practises.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of new build housing construction processes and techniques.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Competent in monitoring site progress, quality control, and health and safety compliance.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient in using site management software and digital tools.

Working Conditions

Work predominantly on-site at the Rugby location in Warwickshire, West Midlands.
Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety rules.
Role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Travel to and from site as required, with company car or car allowance provided
