** As a Operator I:
Entry Level Operator you will help drive our goals by:
* Take responsibility for personal safety by following JM’s safe working practices, PPE guidelines, and contributing to a safe, healthy work environment, including reporting incidents and unsafe conditions.
* Follow all relevant process documentation (e.g., risk analyses, process instructions, standard work) and complete batch sheets and handovers to ensure smooth, continuous production.
* Support operations by performing skilled operator tasks, adhering to production schedules, conducting basic preventative maintenance, and carrying out duties as directed by the Production Lead.
* Drive continuous improvement by upholding 5S standards, collaborating with team members, suggesting process improvements, participating in failure investigations, and identifying plant reliability issues.
** Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
*** Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 4 GCSEs (A
-C) including English, Maths, and Science
* 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) in engineering or science and experience in chemical, engineering, or manufacturing fields are beneficial but not required
* Should understand large-scale manufacturing facilities and the importance of EHS
* Must demonstrate strong safety focus, teamwork, positive attitude, motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to learning
* Requires strong communication skills, flexibility, integrity, and the ability to work accurately, efficiently, and meet deadlines
*** Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months
***** WORKING HOURS
- ** 12-hour day and night shifts including weekends and bank holidays on a 2s and 3s shift pattern
