Solar Field Service Engineer

Position: Solar Field Service Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Tunbridge Wells

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a utility scale solar O&M company to recruit a Field Service Engineer for its sites Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.

This role comes with a salary of £30,000 - £36,000 DOE, company van and provides an excellent opportunity to move into the utility scale solar world.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Operationsyou will:

Assisting with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements. Learning around reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and standard operating procedures
Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
Carrying out site surveys requests as required
Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent
C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection
17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations
Ideally at least a year's experience from within in a maintenance work in either an industrial, commercial or even domestic capacity
Full UK licence

Personal skills
The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Happy to travel around to sites in a field-based role

Salary and benefits of the Junior Field Service Engineer role

Salary of between £30,000 to £36,000 Depending on experience
Overtime and on call weekends on rota.
Company van and tools provided
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
